ART BY JEN I will start by telling you a little about myself and my art, I have been painting for eighteen years, ever since my husband bought me my first watercolour set for xmas, I immediatly was hooked, I read books from the library, and joined the watercolour society here in the U.K,whom I exhibited with. Then in 1996 I had agraphobia, and was a recluse for two years, (Art was my lifeline, ) I had a thirst to learn as many medias and styles/techniques, again reading books on each media, besides watercolour , I started painting in oil, then acrylic, pastel, and now colour pencils. I do reneditions of the old masters to learn thier techniques and apply them in some of my paintings. I have a exhibition shortly at Nottingham, in the U.K, and will hopefully going in a monumental with my art as well as other top notch artists from around the world. I also have been reconized through the arthouse which places me forward for sponsering this next year to develop more styles through the isolated project, I at the moment am fighting cancer along with other chronic illness, Art along with my family is a big part of my life, it takes away reality and my pain. |

She spends a lot of time in the woods with her husband, Ted, and their three sons, Cameron, Ethan and Emmett. She is an animal lover whose family life is greatly enhanced by the presence of Willow, a beloved and spoiled golden retriever. |
Star Abbott Starr's traditional style of oil painting is reminiscent of the renaissance of the European Old Master's. She is endowed with an unusual ability to capture the depth, truth, and beauty of her subject matter, in rich vivid colors. However, only a handful of people understand that her paintings are her own emotional locution. This parlance is the sole of her art and is embodies into the totality of her artistry, assimilated in, clors, objects, subjects, foregrounds, and backgrounds. |

Modern Naive Art - Boris Posavec primitive modern naive art, painting style artist presents his phantasy and charming world of gueer figures, people as well as animals, the sun and the stars.have devoted myself to glasspainting, one of the most singular and difficult techniques which painting has to offer. However sometimes I feel the need to paint on canvas. I began painting seriously some 20 years ago for myself, not realizing at that time one day my paintings would achieve wide public relevance. I am related to the so called "folk" or naïve Self-Taugh Art, terms reserved for those who have never received formal training in art. Folk Art, primitive Art is characterized by naïve style, in which tradition rules of perspective and proportion are not employed. On the beginning I was primarily a landscape painter, painting early rural life style, landscapes, people and simple life. I was an acute observer of the nuances of seasons, time of days, people, weather etc. I didn't commit myself to certain painting style, I painted from my impressions, my feelings. I painted what I saw and felt. My themes were taken from my memory, my vacations, watched nature and people looking for the shadows of different colors and when I was ready to realize my work, I came home with all of it in my mind, just closed my eyes and imagine a scene. This period I call the "beginning period". After few years of simple rural life painting I continued developing and have suddenly realized that the circle of time slowely leaves back the past far behind us. We go forward step by step and search our being in the places called "modern times". Passed times have been replaced by present times and present places. I was looking for new attitude, new way to interpret the world I see through my eyes. With "modernizing" of the painting I tried to express the beauty and imitation of life and nature I see around me. I started painting buildings, people, personalities, life situations, hectic, movements, tranquillity etc. I started painting modern present life and what I call now "Modern Art" period. |
