Artist's Statement

Bullbous

Dimensions: 96" X 56" X 56" Material: Automobile tires and steel My work in this exhibition represents a series of pieces that utilizes automobile tires as a sculptural media. The work reflects my interest in the inherent qualities of materials. Pattern, texture and color are used in their natural state and are altered as little as possible. The form of the shape is meant to relate to the natural curved shape of the material. All of this results in a reordering of this material or object thatis a part of our everyday existence.
